Quetico Boundary Water Canoe Trips

Quetico Boundary Water Canoe Trips
Hosted by members of the John Muir Chapter

Trip Dates: August 12th - August 21st, 2010:

Join veteran Quetico paddlers for a wilderness experience in the incomparable Quetico Provincial Park.  We will combine moderately strenuous paddle and portage days with several layover days at a pace designed to savor the wilderness in each moment.  Indian pictographs, old growth forested lakes and wilderness waterfalls are sites we hope to experience depending on the route chosen by participants.

Experience is not a requirement, but good physical fitness and a positive attitude is essential.

The shared cost and price of this trip for each individual is $500 to cover the canoe, packs and meals.  This price does not include costs for Border Crossing Permit ($30 Canadian), passport, transportation or fishing license fees.

A deposit of $100 is required to make a reservation.  The deposit will be applied to the trip price after your confirmation is approved by the trip leader.

A signed liability waiver is required from each participate in order to attend a Sierra Club outing.  If you would like to read a copy of the waiver prior to the outing, please see http://www.sierraclub.org/outings/chapter/forms/.

In the interest of facilitating logistics of some outings, participants customarily will make carpool arrangements between each other.  This can be initiated at the trip's planning meeting that is held prior to an outing.  The planning meeting allows the participants to determine what will be needed and when and also provides a means to get acquainted.
